Activates the skin receptor responsible for producing darker pigment (eumelanin), which causes tanning and helps protect against UV damage. More targeted than Melanotan 2 — it focuses on the skin receptor without activating the brain receptors linked to arousal or appetite. Studied for photoprotection and pigmentation biology.
