Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or purchasing from kalonresearch.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), our Privacy Policy, and our Returns & Refund Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site and do not place an order.

2. Research Use Only

All products sold by Kalon Research (“Products”) are sold strictly for in-vitro and laboratory research purposes. Products are not drugs, supplements, cosmetics, or medical devices. Products are not intended, labeled, or approved for human or animal consumption, clinical, therapeutic, diagnostic, cosmetic, or veterinary use.

You agree that you will not consume, ingest, inject, apply topically, or otherwise administer Products to any human or animal, and that you will not resell, redistribute, or repackage Products for any such use.

3. No Quality Control Documentation; No Warranties

Kalon Research does not supply Certificates of Analysis, purity reports, HPLC data, mass spectrometry identity confirmation, sterility data, endotoxin analysis, residual solvent reports, or any other quality assurance documentation with shipments.

PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KALON RESEARCH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IDENTITY, PURITY, CONCENTRATION, SAFETY, STERILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY OF PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS. No oral or written statement by Kalon Research or its representatives creates a warranty.

4. Eligibility

You represent and warrant that you are: (a) at least 21 years of age; (b) a qualified researcher, scientist, laboratory professional, or institutional buyer purchasing Products solely for laboratory research purposes; (c) legally permitted in your jurisdiction to purchase, possess, and use research peptides for laboratory research; and (d) not purchasing on behalf of any person under 21 or for any prohibited end use.

5. Buyer Assumes All Responsibility

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that you assume all responsibility for: (a) verifying that the Product is suitable for your intended research purposes; (b) all handling, reconstitution, storage, use, and downstream applications of the Product; (c) ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, institutional policies, and import/export restrictions in your jurisdiction; and (d) any and all consequences — including but not limited to health, safety, property, legal, regulatory, or financial consequences — arising from your possession, handling, or use of the Product.

6. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

Order processing typically begins within one (1) hour of placement. Once an order has entered processing or been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled or modified.

Prices, product availability, and shipping fees are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse, limit, cancel, or reverse any order at our sole discretion, including for suspected violations of these Terms, fraud, or compliance concerns.

Payment methods available at checkout are displayed at the time of order. You are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds and valid payment credentials.

7. Shipping, Customs, and Risk of Loss

Title and risk of loss pass to you upon the carrier's pickup of the shipment from Kalon Research. Customs duties, taxes, VAT, and brokerage fees imposed by destination countries are your responsibility.

8. Returns and Refunds

All sales are final. The sole exception is a shipment confirmed lost in transit by the carrier's official tracking record; in that case Kalon Research will, at its discretion, replace the shipment with an equivalent order. Full terms are in the Returns & Refund Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KALON RESEARCH, ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SITE OR PRODUCTS, (B) ANY UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT, (C) ANY THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT OR CONTENT, OR (D) ANY PRODUCT DEFECT, MISREPRESENTATION, IDENTITY ISSUE, PURITY VARIANCE, CONTAMINATION, OR OTHER PROPERTY OF THE PRODUCTS.

KALON RESEARCH'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY UNDER OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PRODUCTS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO KALON RESEARCH FOR THE PRODUCT OR ORDER GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages; in such jurisdictions, the foregoing limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kalon Research and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use, handling, storage, redistribution, or administration of Products; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; or (d) any misrepresentation made by you in connection with an order.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, research articles, schemas, and product descriptions — is the property of Kalon Research or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Site is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and disclose information.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

You agree that any cause of action you may have arising out of or related to these Terms must commence within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues; otherwise, it is permanently barred.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Returns & Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kalon Research with respect to the Site and the Products and supersede any prior agreements.
